Getting started with On Road

For information only; no rights can be derived from it. Only the electronic CoC (IVI) is legally valid.

What are the onboarding steps at On Road?

  1. Intake. Together we look at which vehicle types you build, which fall under EU type-approval and which legal entity is on your type-approval.
  2. Templates per type. For each vehicle type we set up a template with the fixed data. After that, for each vehicle you complete the VIN and the options.
  3. QES or eSeal. You choose a qualified signature or a company eSeal, through our partner eID Easy.
  4. NAP test phase. We guide you through the tests at the National Access Point until your test eCoCs are in order.
  5. Live. You issue your eCoCs yourself, independent of your technical service.

Which vehicle categories does On Road support?

On Road is built for manufacturers with an EU whole-vehicle type-approval in categories M, N and O. The focus is on trailers and multi-stage vehicles, for small to medium-sized manufacturers.

With multi-stage vehicles, each manufacturer is responsible for what he adds at his own stage. The final manufacturer issues the eCoC of the completed vehicle. With templates per type and consistency checks, you catch missing data from earlier stages before the file is sealed.
